Last week, basketball legend Michael Jordan saw a paternity lawsuit against him tossed out of court. The case was brought by Laquetta Theus, claiming Jordan was the father of her 3-year-old daughter. However, a paternity test, previously conducted, revealed that Hubert Henderson Jr. was the father, and not Jordan.
Theus, who represented herself in the matter, claimed that Jordan “used Hubert Henderson’s name as an alias.” The court was not swayed by this assertion and the case was dismissed.
The Fulton County judge also ordered Theus to pay Jordan’s legal fees, “which totaled $6,501.61.”
This is the second paternity case Jordan has seen filed against him this year. The earlier case was brought by Pamela Smith, who sought child support for her teenage son. Smith dropped the suit, but Jordan counter-sued. Smith was ordered to pay Jordan’s legal bills, “total[ing] $9,704.13.”
